Paines Creek Beach
Paines Creek Beach in Brewster is one of those gems that seems to have been built for the pail-and-showel crowd, who lounge in the tidal pools or scramble to find fiddler and horseshoe crabs. Plan to be there at high tide, or you may have to walk a mile to get from the beach to the water’s edge.
Point of Rocks Landing Beach
As the name suggests, Point of Rocks Landing Beach has a unique rocky shoreline compared to the other Brewster Beaches. It’s the perfect place to avoid crowds, watch the sun set and gaze at the stars.
Crosby Landing Beach

It’s a tranquil location for swimming, boogie boarding, and enjoying the unique Brewster Flats at low tide. Visitors can meditate, relax, or watch stunning sunsets from the dunes, making it a less crowded alternative for a peaceful beach experience. It’s easily accessible from Route 6A too.
Linnell Landing Beach
Near Candleberry Inn, Linnell Landing Beach is a picturesque bayside retreat known for its stunning sunsets and convenient access to the Cape Cod Rail Trail. Visitors can enjoy a variety of water activities — swimming, bodysurfing, and kayaking — all while experiencing the rejuvenating effects of the sea and capturing the beauty of the landscape.
Coast Guard Beach
Part of the National Park Service, Coast Guard Beach in Eastham, MA is a prime swimming beach during the summer season. It has been named a top-10 beach in the U.S. by Travel & Leisure Magazine several years. There are seasonal restrooms and a wheelchair-accessible ramp way to the beach.
Nauset Light Beach
Nauset Light Beach in part of the National Seashore in Eastham, MA consists of a broad, sandy beach that is contained by a steep glacial scarp behind it. During winter months, the beach profile is considerably lowered, sometimes exposing features such as the brick foundation of one of the earlier Three Sisters lighthouses. The beach owes its name to Nauset Light, a prominent landmark on the property.
Marconi Beach
Marconi Beach in the Marconi Area in Wellfleet, MA obtained its name from the famous Italian inventor, Guglielmo Marconi. From a site near here, Marconi successfully completed the first transatlantic wireless communication between the U.S. and England in 1903. Here, the outer beach is famous for its then steep, forty-foot sand cliff (or scarp) located behind it. Swimmers and beach walkers feel a sense of solitude here because the scarp and ocean provide an unbroken, pristine natural scene in all directions.
Brewster Walking Trails
Managed by the Brewster Conservation Trust and the Town of Brewster, the Brewster Walking Trails are a substantial system of 12 trails for hiking. The paths take you through the town’s diverse landscape: beaches, bogs, marshes, ponds, and woodlands.
Cape Cod Rail Trail
Stretching for 22 miles from Yarmouth in the west to Wellfleet in the east, the Cape Cod Rail Trail passes through six towns. You can bike, roller blade, run, or walk the paved pathway. Along the way, other trails, as well as national and state parks, connect to it.
Nickerson State Park
You can explore several ponds and wooded hiking trails at Nickerson State Park, which encompasses 1,900 acres. In fact, it has an 8-mile bike path that connects to the Cape Cod Rail Trail. There are plenty of outdoor activities here too: fishing, boating, camping, horseback riding, kayaking, swimming, and more.

The Three Sisters Lighthouses
A series of three towers in Eastham, MA known as The Three Sisters Lighthouses is one of the most famous attractions in the area. Erosion made the trio fall into the sea around 1890, but they were rebuilt in 1911. Since the 1980s, they’ve been open for tours.
Nauset Lighthouse
Possibly the most photographed and well-known lighthouse on Cape Cod, Nauset Lighthouse in Eastham, MA was built in 1838. The red and white tower has been restored and is open for free seasonal tours, but donations provide funding for upkeep.
Chatham Lighthouse
Built as part of a set of lighthouses in 1877, Chatham Lighthouse in Chatham, MA has a rich history. The twin tower, which is now Nauset Lighthouse, was moved in 1923. Tours of the interior, exterior, and grounds are available during the summer.
Sandy Neck Lighthouse
In West Barnstable, MA, Sandy Neck Lighthouse was initially built in 1826 but replaced in 1857. The best way to see it is on a boat tour, but you can access it by land via a four-wheel drive vehicle or 6-mile walk on the beach.
Race Point Lighthouse
Race Point Light in Provincetown, MA first illuminated in 1816, was replaced in 1876 with the current 45-foot tall iron-plated tower and a new keeper’s dwelling.
Wood End Lighthouse
In the 1860s, Provincetown, MA decided that, in addition to Race Point and Long Point Lights, another lighthouse was needed at Wood End. The 38-foot brick tower of Wood End Lighthouse went into service on November 20, 1872. The light flashes a red beacon every 15 seconds 45 feet above the sea.
Long Point Lighthouse
Long Point Light Station is an historic lighthouse at the northeast tip of Long Point in Provincetown, MA. As a navigational aid, it marks the southwest edge of the entrance to Provincetown Harbor. The United States Coast Guard Light List describes it simply as a “white square tower”.
Nobska Lighthouse
Nobska Light, originally called Nobsque Light, also known as Nobska Point Light is a lighthouse located near the division between Buzzards Bay, Nantucket Sound, and Vineyard Sound in the settlement of Woods Hole, Falmouth, MA on the southwestern tip of Cape Cod, Massachusetts.
