Top 5 Outdoor Activities on Cape Cod

    1. Cape Cod Rail Trail

The Cape Cod Rail Trail is one of our favorite outdoor activities to recommend to guests! This 25.5-mile bike path runs from Dennis to Wellfleet and directly through Brewster. It’s the perfect place for walking, jogging, or biking. If you choose to bike, be sure to rent your bike from Brewster Bike or Cape Cod Rail Trail Bike and Kayak, as both companies offer bike rental delivery services to our guests!

    2. Cape Cod National Seashore

The Cape Cod National Seashore spans 40 miles along the peninsula. It’s a great place to learn more about the area’s natural history, explore hiking trails, and more! For an interactive experience, head to the Salt Pond Visitor Center in Eastham, MA!

    3. Whale Watching

Whale watching is an experience you can’t find everywhere. That’s why we recommend it to our spring and summer guests! Open season for whale watching on Cape Cod runs from mid-April through October. However, most marine life comes out to play from June to September. Hyannis Whale Watcher Cruises and Dolphin Fleet Whale Watch are two of our favorite companies for guided tours.

    4. Lighthouse Tours

Cape Cod is home to 14 historic lighthouses. These towering seaside structures boast the perfect blend of beauty and history. Take a Cape Cod lighthouse tour to learn more about their significance in this region! Race Point Lighthouse is one of our favorites!

    5. Heritage Museums and Gardens

Get a glimpse at the local flora when you visit Heritage Museums and Gardens. Here, you can discover historical artifacts and a 100-acre garden. The garden is filled with native flowers, plants, trees, and more!
