    Cape Cod’s true beauty shines during the fall. The Cape is cast with warm hues of orange, yellow, and red as the leaves change. The sun seems a bit more golden as it sets over our beautiful beaches. The crisp air is perfect to don a sweater and take a walk on the beach, or you could get into the autumn mood with a mug of warm cider. Fall on Cape Cod boasts more than just awe-inspiring scenery.     5 Cape Cod Fall Festivals You Can’t Miss 

    1. Yarmouth Seaside Festival

    Every October, usually during Columbus Day Weekend, the Yarmouth Seaside Festival comes to town. This arts and craft fair has more than 125 artists and crafters represented! Other activities include a parade, live entertainment, fireworks, and more. If you’d like to challenge yourself, you can even partake in the road race. It’s definitely a weekend to stay in town for. 

    2. Annual Harwich Arts & Music Cranberry Festival 

    Cranberries have become a staple of Cape Cod culture. Celebrate the cranberry harvest at the Annual Harwich Arts & Music Cranberry Festival! This Cape Cod fall festival began in the mid-1970s and has been held every year since. Now, it raises money for scholarships and other nonprofits in Harwich! Here, you will find more than 100 vendors selling arts and crafts, live music, and plenty of cranberry-based food. The fall festival is held every September, and admission is free.

    3. Celebrate Our Waters Festival

    During September, you can attend Celebrate Our Waters Festival in Orleans. The goal of this fall festival is to showcase the bays, ponds, lakes, marshes, creeks, and Cape Cod beaches of the area. Awareness of water as a resource is incredibly important, and this event does a great job of that through walks, bike rides, kayaking, sand sculpture contests, and more!

    4. Harbor to the Bay Bike Ride

    If you enjoy bike riding, the Harbor to the Bay Bike Ride is the Cape Cod fall festival for you! The scenic ride begins in Boston and ends in Provincetown. The main goal is to raise awareness and care for those living with HIV and AIDS. 100 percent of the proceeds go to this cause! If you don’t feel ready to conquer the 125-mile ride, take a cruise on the Cape Cod Rail Trail. Here, you’ll be able to improve your personal record and take in all of the wonderful fall sights!

    5. Wellfleet Oysterfest 

    Seafood is a staple in Cape Cod, especially oysters. The Wellfleet Oysterfest comes to town every October to bring both locals and visitors together over their love of food. Make sure to come on an empty stomach as plenty of oysters, clams, and other foods will be available. Plus, there will be live music, cooking demonstrations, an annual oyster shucking competition, and more! Since its start in the 1990s, it has become one of our favorite and most popular Cape Cod fall festivals close to Candleberry Inn.
