If you’re looking for anything remotely cool, head to the Atomic Dimestore in Hyannis. This shop specializes in collectibles from the 1940s to 1980s, with a focus on clothes, glassware, pop culture, and other fun stuff from between the 1950s and 1970s.
Some other items that you’ll find include comics, monster magazines, like-new and sealed toys, lunchboxes, kitchenware, and small furnishings. Very little of the store’s inventory consists of reproductions.
The Atomic Dimestore doesn’t always open or close according to its posted hours. We recommend calling ahead before you visit to make sure it’s open — (508) 360-7217.
Plush & Plunder
For fine vintage clothing, check out Plush & Plunder in Hyannis. A self-proclaimed “Paradise to Explore,” we have to agree. Best Outer Cape Cod Stores for Antiques
Cape Cod Antique Dealers Association
OK, we know this isn’t an antique store, but we couldn’t ignore the CCADA’s Antique Shows. The organization hosts two main events on Cape Cod — one in early July and another in early August. Some antique dealers only sell at these shows, so it’s the only time to peruse their items.
Typically, the events host more than 30 quality dealers from across Cape Cod. You’ll find a wide variety of antiques from the 18th, 19th, and early 20th centuries — from decorative items and books to glassware and furniture.
Curiouser & Curiouser
Although Curiouser & Curiouser in Wellfleet isn’t specifically an antique store, it has a selection of ethically sourced and environmentally sustainable antique and vintage home goods. Also, you can check out its mix of organic items, handcrafted accessories, organic skin care, and much more.
Jules Besch Stationers
Jules Besch Stationers in Truro is another shop that sells more than antiques. In fact, it specializes in fine stationery and is one of the best in New England. Although the collection of antiques is limited to writing instruments, it’s certainly worth visiting if that interests you.
Provincetown Antiques
While there are a handful of places to get Cape Cod antiques in Provincetown, one of our favorites is Provincetown Antiques. The store has an extensive inventory of antique accessories, art and pottery, books, clocks, coins and medals, glass, jewelry, maps, scientific instruments, toys, and the list goes on.
