    Brewster Italian Restaurant Options

If you’re staying at Candleberry Inn, there are a few Italian restaurants within walking distance or a few minutes drive. Here are two recommendations that stand out for their delicious food and great service.

    Spinnaker

A short walk from our historic inn, Spinnaker is a chic, boutique restaurant that serves upscale food in a beachy atmosphere. The owners get recipe inspiration from their studies and travels around the world, particularly in Italy.

The menu is always fresh, changing with the seasons based on the fruits, vegetables, and seafood available locally. Some examples of what you might see on the menu include Chef Rob’s traditional long-cooking ragu Bolognese and the Tuscan red wine-braised boneless beef short rib. He runs the restaurant with his wife, Andrea, who will help you make a reservation – which you’ll need to make in advance!

    Stone L’Oven Pizza Co.

Hand-tossing all-natural pizza dough, Stone L’Oven Pizza Co. is one of the best places on the Cape to get pizza. The artisan-crafted pizzas are made with high-quality, preservative-free ingredients and cooked directly on the stone at 500 degrees Fahrenheit in a stone-fired oven. Delicious gluten-free pizza options are also offered on their menu.

Aside from amazing pizza, this Italian restaurant’s Cape Cod location serves salads, panini, sandwiches, wraps, and pasta. One of the most popular items is its mac and cheese, which is made with a house blend of four cheeses, cavatappi pasta, and a Ritz cracker topping.

More Italian Restaurant Cape Cod Locations

When you’re exploring Cape Cod outside of Brewster and have a craving for Italian cuisine, you have numerous options. Below are more than a dozen spots that we recommend.

    Upper Cape Italian Eateries

    Osteria La Civetta

For a taste of authentic Italian from Bologna, stop by Osteria La Civetta (which means “The Owl”) in Falmouth. Inspiration for the restaurant came from the owners’ experiences in Emilia-Romagna, a region in Northern-Central Italy. This is one of our all-time favorite restaurants.

Celebrating Italian food, the menu is simple but delicious, using only local, fresh ingredients. Gluten-free pasta is available for those with dietary restrictions, and there’s a decent wine list to pair with your meal.

    Bucatino Restaurant & Wine Bar

Serving North Falmouth since 2016, Bucatino Restaurant & Wine Bar is family-owned and operated serving lunch and dinner. You’ll find pasta and seafood on the menu, and everything is made with fresh, local ingredients. And, the extensive wine and cocktail list offers tasty meal pairings.

    Tomatoes Italian Grille & Bar

In Sandwich, Tomatoes Italian Grille & Bar combines the cooking style of Northern Italy with the cooking style of the Sicilian country. On top of that, the menu has a modern Italian-American flair. In the end, you get creative Italian cuisine that’s made with fresh, healthful ingredients.

Plus, the wine list focuses on Italian and American vintages. Most days of the week, you can enjoy entertainment during your meal in this festive and comfortable restaurant.

    Amari Bar and Ristorante

You can dine in an old-world Tuscan trattoria at Amari Bar and Ristorante in East Sandwich. The restaurant interior features lovely countryside murals, handcrafted woodwork, etched glass, and wrought iron wine grates — all of which create a cozy atmosphere.

On the menu, you’ll find classic Italian pasta and pizza, as well as wine to match. During warm weather, you can enjoy your meal on the terrace, and during cold weather, you can dine by the stone fireplace.

Italian Cuisine in the Mid Cape

    Alberto’s Ristorante

Offering fine Italian dining, Alberto’s Ristorante has been serving Hyannis and the Cape Cod community since 1984 — that’s when Northern Italian cuisine and fresh pasta were first introduced to the Cape. The restaurant continues this tradition of using fresh ingredients and making everything in-house.

And, you can enjoy a cocktail before dinner and espresso after dinner in the lounge. The lounge is a good place for a quick, casual meal too. On Fridays and Saturdays, the restaurant arranges to have a jazz pianist for entertainment.

    Gerardi’s Cafe

Serving traditional Italian cocktails alongside Sicilian-style cuisine, Gerardi’s Cafe in South Yarmouth is a special place that has been growing since 2000. The creative, home-style dishes fill bellies, while sitting at the table with a glass of wine and classic music creates memories. Gluten-free options are available as well.

    Leonessa

With scratch cooking, curated wines, and crafted cocktails, Leonessa in Yarmouth Port is new to the Italian restaurant Cape Cod scene having opened in spring 2023. However, this Italian-inspired kitchen and bar has quickly become a local favorite.

The dishes are full of Italian flavor as well as influences from the countries that surround Italy. And, you can enjoy its inviting and welcoming atmosphere Wednesday through Sunday.

    Royal II Restaurant & Grille

Also in Yarmouth Port, Royal II Restaurant & Grille is a family-owned and operated restaurant that has been serving a range of cuisines since 2013. You can get American, Italian, Mediterranean, and Greek dishes — including gourmet pizza and sandwiches.

No matter which cuisine you choose, it’s prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients and served in an inviting dining room. Also, you can take advantage of its lounge, which has a full bar.

    Lower Cape Italian Restaurants

    Buca’s Tuscan Roadhouse

More than an Italian restaurant Cape Cod location, Buca’s Tuscan Roadhouse is inspired by the owners’ experience at a small rustic trattoria in Greve of Tuscany. The menu is a combination of favorites — like Bolognese and vitello alla piccata — and fine Italian wine.

In addition to the flavors of Tuscany, the decor transports you to that trattoria with warm hues, wine corks and crates on the walls, and tiny white lights.

    Del Mar Bar & Bistro

Whether you eat in the welcoming dining room or on the open-air patio, Del Mar Bar & Bistro is one of the best Cape Cod Italian restaurants in Chatham. The menu features wood-fired, thin-crust pizza, as well as local seafood, and other bistro fare.

On top of that, this restaurant is a fantastic spot for nightlife with excellent wines, specialty drinks, and live jazz.

La Bella Vita Kitchen & Bar

In Orleans, La Bella Vita Kitchen & Bar serves a unique fusion of Italian-inspired dishes. The menu ranges from Italian classics — including pizza — to fresh seafood, steaks, and American classics. Everything is made with fresh ingredients — even the pasta and sauces.

Regardless of what you’re in the mood for, you’ll enjoy a meal in a warm, casual environment with attentive and friendly waitstaff. If it’s warm outside, you can dine on the patio.

    Cibo Italian Kitchen & Market

At Cibo Italian Kitchen & Market in Orleans, you get authentic Italian cuisine made by a brother and sister who return to Sicily each year to visit their parents. The duo grew up watching amazing food being prepared with the freshest, simplest ingredients, and they have brought that tradition to Cape Cod.

The best part is that you don’t have to dine at the restaurant to get a taste. You can plan a picnic instead and order hot grab-and-go dishes. Perfect for lunch, and they also offer special dinner seatings.

Italian Dining in the Outer Cape

    CERALDI

With a menu that typically changes nightly, CERALDI is a seven-course, fine-dining restaurant in Wellfleet. The menu of upscale fare is made with locally sourced ingredients, so everything is fresh. And while you’re eating, you get beautiful views of the water that surrounds the Cape.

    Montano’s Restaurant

Montano’s Restaurant has been serving North Truro locals and visitors since 1988. This Italian restaurant Cape Cod spot makes everything from scratch the old-fashioned way — including the sauces, bread, pasta, and pizza dough — so you know that it’s authentic. Additionally, the dishes feature dry-aged, USDA Prime meats and local seafood.

    Ciro & Sal’s

Starting as a coffee shop opened by two Italian-American friends in 1954, Ciro & Sal’s has turned into a top-rated Italian restaurant on Cape Cod. The Italian menu includes chicken, veal, and pasta dishes that are inspired by old recipes. You can order fresh, local seafood too.

You have the option of dining in the upstairs dining room or the unique, charming wine cellar — the latter of which is particularly romantic for dates.

    Front Street Restaurant

With a delicious menu of classic Italian fare, Front Street Restaurant in Provincetown is a chef-owned eatery. It’s located in a Victorian home with an intimate atmosphere.

Alongside the Italian menu, which is always available, the restaurant features a continental menu during the summer. No matter which menu you order from, though, you’ll have a memorable dining experience.

    Exterior of Candleberry at Twilight

    Elegant Lodging at Candleberry Inn

Just as welcoming as the above Italian restaurant Cape Cod spots, Candleberry Inn offers elegant accommodations in Brewster. Our location on Route 6A makes exploring all of the Cape, including the restaurants, convenient.

Plus, you get to stay in a historic building that was originally built in the 1700s but has undergone renovations to provide upscale comfort while retaining the charm.
