Stop No. 1: Nickerson State Park
Explore the Cape’s outdoors along Route 6A with a stop at Nickerson State Park. This state park has a network of trails that are perfect for hiking or biking. Start your journey alongside salt marshes and sand dunes, then keep pedaling (or trudging!) along to retreat into the pine forests. From leisure to athletic training, Nickerson State Park has it all. The park’s “Signature Hike” is the Cliff Pond Loop which clocks in at 3.2 miles long and is considered to be of moderate difficulty. This trail loop circles Cliff Pond in Brewster, a popular spot for swimming as well as boating and fishing. Relaxing by this swimming hole is the perfect way to relax after completing this hike!

If you’re someone who enjoys biking, you have to take a ride on the Cape Cod Rail Trail in Brewster. This 25-mile biking path offers endurance training for athletes as well as views perfectly suited for a leisurely ride. You’ll ride through the most unique offerings of Cape Cod’s nature such as marshes and cranberry bogs! Here, it’s easy to get lost in the beauty of our area on the Cape Cod Rail Trail’s bike path. You can even ride your bike to and from the trail from our inn as a warm-up and cool-down as we’re only 1.5 miles away!
