1. Truro Vineyards of Cape Cod
Truro Vineyards of Cape Cod is a great place to begin your winery tour. They offer private tastings and tours for parties of 10 or more. Each tour includes a brief history, a walk through the vineyard, and a final presentation in the barrel room. The tasting ends with a sampling of 5 vintages from their collection and a small artisan cheese platter. Tours are $30 per person and last about an hour; they are well worth it!
2. Cape Cod Winery
Cape Cod Winery is located in East Falmouth. This company’s fruity wines are the perfect way to get a taste of our area. Tastings here are by appointment only on weekdays and run on a seasonal schedule. The spring tasting schedule begins weekends in April from noon to 4:00 pm. In May, the winery is open Friday
through Sunday from noon to 4:00 pm with special hours on Memorial Weekend. Tasting appointments can be made by calling 508-457- 5592!
3. First Crush Winery
Recently, the Cape had a new addition to our winery family! First Crush Winery can be found in Harwich, MA. Tours and tastings at the winery start at just $10 per person to taste 6 of their wines. Private tours are also available starting at $15 per person. Their tasting schedule is from April 1 to November 19. They are open Tuesday through Saturday from 11:00 am to 4:30 pm and on Sunday from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. From November 20 to March 31, they are only open Wednesday through Saturday from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.
4. Nantucket Winery
Nantucket, MA is home to none other than Nantucket Winery. Established in 1981, this vineyard uses state-of-the-art technology to produce their unique wines. When available, their tasting schedule can be found on their events page. All you have to do is check during your stay at Candleberry Inn! Each tour is $20 per person and can take anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour and a half. Price includes a glass and sampling of 2 wines, 2 beers, and 2 spirits. Their tasting room offers flights to enjoy as well!
