Brewster Fish House Brewster Fish House MA

The Brewster Fish House is a staple of the Lower Cape! Known as one of the best restaurants on our entire peninsula, you’ll get a true taste of local cuisine. Enjoy freshly caught seafood and an eclectic mix of other menu items. Their famous chowder, North Atlantic salmon, and ribeye with smoked bone marrow are always favorites. Each pairs perfectly with their extensive wine list! Located in a charming cottage, the atmosphere is perfect for a romantic date night or an upscale dinner with friends. Plus, it’s just a 1-minute drive down the street from Candleberry Inn!


Spinnaker is one of our favorite Brewster, MA, restaurants for two reasons: the food is amazing, and it is a 5-minute walk from Candleberry Inn! This restaurant offers upscale Cape Cod fare that ranges from seafood to pasta. The atmosphere is beachy yet luxurious, and the menu is a step above some of the other seafood spots. You can order everything from Chatham mussels to grilled octopus!

JT’s Seafood Homemade New England Lobster Rolls with Butter and Chives

JT’s Seafood is a summer hot spot in Brewster. This family-friendly eatery has all your Cape Cod favorites like lobster rolls, chowder, BBQ, crab cakes, and more. You’ll love their counter-served seafood fresh from the shore! Plus, they have an extensive ice cream list for dessert. It’s the perfect casual eatery to enjoy after a day at the beach.


For an upscale French restaurant on the Cape, visit Chillingsworth. Located just a 2-minute drive down Main Street, this is the perfect place to go when you’re looking to indulge in something luxurious. Potato gnocchi, tuna tartare, snails in garlic cream, and the classic lobster bisque are always favorites. They also have a second restaurant on-site, Chill’s Bistro. Here, you can enjoy contemporary cuisine in a casual-chic atmosphere. You can’t go wrong either way!

El Guapo’s Tortilla Shack Spicy Shrimp Tacos

Sometimes it’s nice to take a break from the usual Cape Cod seafood fare and enjoy a margarita and taco after a day on the beach! El Guapo’s Tortilla Shack has excellent burritos, tacos, and even burgers and sandwiches. Some delicious flavors await, such as the El Spano Loco with hand-battered cod, shredded white cabbage, pico, Jack cheese, and a signature creamy lime sauce. The Mexican street corn with a signature Cotija cheese spread is a great side. If you’re looking for a casual spot to dine, this is it!

Are There Brewster, MA, Restaurants on the Water?

Because the bayside of the Cape is protected due to all the historic homes, sites, and land, there are no Brewster, MA, restaurants directly on the water. However, there are other eateries just moments away that are! If a water view is a must, here are our recommendations.

The Ocean House | Dennis Port, MA

The Ocean House is home to some of the most stunning views in the entire Cape. Built right next to the Nantucket Sound with walls of oversized windows, nearly every seat faces out over the water. The menu here consists of high-end American cuisine with a focus on seafood. You can get everything from clam pizza to more traditional dishes like lobster ravioli.  Local tip: If you want to dine at the Ocean House, we recommend making a reservation. They do take walk-ins, but there is usually a wait. However, the water views and delicious food are worth it!

Mattakeese Wharf Restaurant | Barnstable, MA lobster dinner

The Mattakeese Wharf Restaurant has been one of the crown jewels of Barnstable for more than 50 years! Mattakeese is a derivative of the Native American name “Mattakeesette” and has a tie to the history of the people indigenous to the Cape. See breathtaking harbor views and sunsets from inside as you enjoy traditional Cape Cod cuisine. Start with a delicious cup of clam chowder before diving into a lobster.

Ocean Terrace | Brewster, MA

The Ocean Terrace is not directly on the water, but it is an option for if you would like water views in Brewster! Located on the rooftop, this is the perfect spot to grab a drink during nice weather and look out over the Cape Cod Bay. Because it is outdoors, it is only open in the summer. However, it does have great sunset views!
